Bayern Kapital backs €13m series-A for Fineway
Bayern Kapital has invested in a €6m series-A funding round extension for Munich-based travel booking platform Fineway.
The VC firm also took part in the first tranche of the series-A, which closed on €7m in November 2017 with participation from Mairdumont Ventures.
The fresh capital will be used for further technological development.
Previous funding
Bayern Kapital and Mairdumont both took part in Fineway's $2.5m seed funding round in October 2015.
Company
Fineway was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in Munich. It uses a chat bot to interact with customers, and suggests travel plans and booking options. It claims to cut trip research time down from more than nine hours to just a few minutes. The company employs 50 people.
